Associate Professor of Dance, Valerie Ifill, was awarded the Harold H. Myers Award for Distinguished Service. The Harold Myers Award for Distinguished Service is given to an administrator, member of the professional staff, or full-time or part-time faculty member who has engaged in service work that has been recognized to be truly significant to the University.

In Valerie's own words; "It feels really good to be recognized for your hard work, time and energy in stepping above and beyond to support your university. I am especially proud of my work since most of my service to Drexel supports BIPOC students, faculty and our local West Philly community. I could not be more proud to be the 2021 recipient of the Harold Myers Award for Distinguished Service!"

Valerie Ifill is an active dance artist, educator and researcher interested in the intersection of dance and community, making dance education more accessible to communities of color and embodied storytelling.
